An Index Case of Diffuse Alveolar Hemorrhage Secondary to Chikungunya

Chikungunya virus (CHIKV) is an alphavirus transmitted by mosquitoes, mostly Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus. Starting to become a very common entity in Pakistan, with a wide range of clinical manifestations. Here we report a case of a young male with chikungunya virus who presented with a clinical manifestation of diffuse alveolar hemorrhage which was previous unobserved in patient suffering from this virus illness.
