Abstract

In this report, two cases of endobronchial tuberculosis initially diagnosed as lung cancer were presented and the importance of endobronchial tuberculosis in differential diagnosis was evaluated. The first case, a 56- year-old man, was admitted to our hospital because of hemoptysis. He had been treated for he was lung cancer for four years at an oncologic center. Bronchoscopy revealed a mass on the right side of carina and diagnosed as tuberculosis by histopathologic examination. The second case, a 48-year-old man, was admitted with the diagnosis of “squamous cell lung carcinoma, total pneumothorax and diabetes mellitus”. The sputum examination showed that acid-fast bacilli was positive. At bronchoscopy right upper lobe was totally obstructed with a mass. Biopsy revealed granulomatous tissue.
