Muscle metastasis of lung cancers is rare. In literature, skeletal muscle metastasis is reported in %0.8-1 of lung cancer patients. The skeletal muscle metastases are usually seen in advanced stages and poorly differentiated tumors and it worsens the prognosis. The fifty nine year old male patient was diagnosed stage 3B squamous cell lung cancer and was given radical radiotherapy and 4 cycles of chemotherapy. A painful swelling in his right leg developed. In the superficial tissue ultrasonography a solid, heterogeneous mass lesion with irregular borders was seen in the right posterior tibial region. In the MR of the right cruris, a mass lesion of 69x51 mm dimensions was seen in the muscle tissue of the proximal medial part of the right cruris. The pathology of the biopsy was detected as metastasis of squamous cell lung cancer. Radiotherapy for palliation was planned for the patient with liver, lung and bone matastases. We aimed to present the case because of the rare occurence of muscle metastasis of lung cancer.
