Sclerosing hemangioma is a rare benign tumor of the lungs, first described by Liebow and Hubbell in 1956. The common presentation is an incidentally detected solitary nodule in the right lung of a middle aged woman. It is usually solid with a diameter of less than 3 cm. Four types of histologic growth patterns are described: solid, sclerotic, papillary and hemorrhagic. Two types of cells are found: monotonous polygonal or round cells in solid and papillary patterns and cuboidal surface cells which line papillary and tubular structures. This article presents a 59 year-old female patient who was diagnosed with sclerosing hemangioma in her right lung. (Tur Toraks Der 2011; 12: 161-4)
